“Claire Agius is brilliant as always 👏🏼”

“Is-Snin Li Tħoss: I watched this performance yesterday. This is more than a mere theatre performance. It is a poetic experience. Clare Azzopardi’s translation plays with the Maltese language in such a way that it sounds equally contemporary and accessible, and yet so poetical. Toni Attard directs the play with great sensitivity, taking bold and significant directorial decisions, delving into a subject that strikes emotional, sometimes uncomfortable chords, with great bravery. But the real poet of the piece is Clare Agius. I use the word ‘poet’ because Clare transcends the performative in this work: her use of voice and her use of the physical is a poem in itself that cannot be explained unless experienced. She allows herself to be vulnerable so that the journey of the character (narrated extraordinarily in the second person) becomes our journey. Like in religious practice, she becomes us.”

“Din hija produzzjoni li ħadd m’għandu jitlef; apparti t-teatralità intima hija produzzjoni li tenfasizza wkoll l-qofol tat-traduzzjoni; il-poter li l-kelma tradotta tqarreb nies minn kull tarf tad-dinja. Clare Agius irnexxielha tneżża’ l-proċess tax-“xjuħija” mis-suġġettività, u tat l-udjenza x’tifhem li dawn huma esperjenzi li ġarrabna oġġettiv, qed inġarrbu jew għad inġarrbu b’mod oġġettiv; huma qabelxejn esperjenzi li tħosshom f’ġismek; li jaħkmulek moħħok. Hija produzzjoni onesta, umli u sinċiera. Iġġiegħlek tgħarbel ir-riti tal-ħajja, dak li għadda, dak li għadu ġej, dak li jżommok għaddej u kull mument imprezzabbli li nġarrbu lkoll taħt sema wieħed. Din il-produzzjoni tħallik fuq ix-xwiek, timlik b’kurżità u tibqa’ tispera li l-intimità se tibqa’ tħaddnek tul is-serata sħiħa.”
Nicole Vassallo

“Monologu li jinvolvi mumenti diversi minn bniedma fittizja li f’ċertu ħinijiet taħseb li hija inti! B’vokabularju reqq u mqiegħed il-preżentazzjoni ġġiegħel l-involviment tal-udjenza bl-azzjoni kif wkoll bil-ħsieb dwar l-iskop wara t-traġitt tal-ħajja. Dramm li jħallik b’messaġġ b’saħħtu relevanti għal kull eta’.”
Samuel Sciberras
“Affaxxinanti. Clare irnexxielha tivverbalizza ħsibijiet/emozzjonijiet komuni u iktar profondi li wieħed jghaddi minnhom tul ħajtu. Brava Clare!”
“Monologue eċċezzjonali. Il-ħsibijiet interni tal-umanità ġew ivverbalizzati. Sibt lili nnifsi ngħid…ara mela mhux waħdi naħseb hekk. Monologu li jħallik tirrifletti ħafna…dhakt u bkejt fl istess ħin. Brava ħafna Clare!!”
“Excellent. Women can relate to various parts in their life and Claire Agius really nailed it.”
“like the fact that even though the play depicts stages of life that I have a few decades to reach, I could still relate to every stage in some way. This is because I am surrounded by loved ones from different stages of life, and I could immediately pinpoint certain parts within the play that were relatable. It also helped me reflect more on how short and fragile life is, even as a person in his mid 20s”
Jack Bugeja
