Tucked within the hushed grandeur of the Silent City, St Paul’s Cathedral once again opens its doors this June for A Midsummer Dream, returning following last year’s remarkable success.

This evocative concert marks the arrival of summer through a rich tapestry of music and text, where sound and spoken word intertwine beneath the cathedral’s soaring arches. As light stretches longer across the ancient stone and the season awakens in full bloom, summer itself becomes the quiet protagonist of the evening.

Audiences can expect a programme inspired by the great composers and timeless poetic voices, brought to life by the acclaimed Cordia String Quartet under the musical direction of Jacob Portelli. They are joined by one of Malta’s leading tenors, Cliff Zammit Stevens, alongside distinguished actor Clare Agius who lends voice to a selection of evocative writings.

Combine your concert experience with an exclusive pre-performance evening tour of Mdina in English, led by a professional guide. This package also includes a reserved seat in the Platinum area. Each ticket entitles the holder to a 10% discount on food only at Medina Restaurant and Trattoria AD1530 restaurant in Mdina for a pre-or post-concert dinner. This offer is valid only on the day of the concert. Table reservations are recommended and subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that seating within each section of the concert follows a free seating policy. A Midsummer Dream is an Mdina Resounds Concert by Udjenza and is supported by St Paul’s Cathedral, Visit Malta, Xara Collection, and Alistair Floral Design.
