Three characters are stuck on a roof after a cyclone swoops in and leaves them stranded on Peppu’s pristine roof. The flag pole in the middle of the roof is his pride and joy. Peppu, together with the fussy Tina and the acrophobic service worker, must find a way to get off the roof safely. Played by Jacob Piccinino, Matthias Camilleri and Lee-N Abela, our protagonists’ whimsical time on the roof is underscored with live music performed and composed by Albert Garcia. Their adventure on the roof is packed with everything from thrilling acrobatics on a massive pole to a mischievous mouse that wreaks hilarious havoc on our protagonists but how does the discovery of a mysterious egg help them get off the roof safely?
The production will premiere at the Palestine International Theater Festival for Children & Youth organised by Al Harah Theatre.
This production is an initiative of the Representative Office of Malta in Ramallah, Palestine supported by the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, Cultural Diplomacy Fund.
Bonġu, Bejt! is supported by Arts Council Malta, ŻiguŻajg and Teatru Manoel.
Tlett karattri jsibu ruħhom msakkra barra fuq il-bejt ta’ Peppu wara li ntlaqtu minn ċiklun. F'nofs il-bejt hemm arblu tal-bnadar u tgħidx x’bokka għandu bih! Flimkien ma’ Tina l-qansħa u l-ħaddiem li jibża mill-għoli, it-tlieta li huma jridu jsibu mod kif jinżluminn dal-bejt. B'mużika live miktuba u eżegwita minn Albert Garcia u bis-sehem ta’ Jacob Piccinino, Matthias Camilleri u Lee-N Abela, l-protagonisti tagħna jesperjenzaw minn kollox fuq dan il-bejt; minn bravuri akkrobatiċi fuq arblu sa ġurdien ċkejken u mqareb li jaqla ħafna kommossjoni, sa skoperta ta’ bajda misterjuża... skoperta li taf tgħinhom jinżlu minn fujq il-bejt.
