The Sunshine Girl

Inspired by The Sunshine Girls, a legendary troupe of queer performers who charmed and captivated audiences in Malta back in the 1980s, Udjenza is currently working on a new music-theatre piece titled: The Sunshine Girl. With Music by Kris Spiteri and Book by Malcolm Galea, the show follows the story of one of the Sunshine Girls as they go on a journey of discovery to find their authentic self. The glitz and glamour of the Sunshine Bar are merely a gateway for our protagonist to find the truth, strength and resilience that lies within.
